Another great day has passed and I am not looking forward to going home. Not that I don't want to be home, but the reconnections that I've had and new friendships that I have made are going to be very hard to leave. Betsy (my sister) and I have been going to David family almost every night and it is so fun to finally learn the games and spend real, quality time with them. It was a real test of my memory when I first came back, but now it feels like second-nature.

Friday was the last day of VBS and I am really going to miss it. It was so much fun to see how excited the children were to learn more about God and how they can share His Love with others. The focus of the week was to introduce the Gospel to the kids in a way that would be easy for them to share with others, and judging by their enthusiasm during the "quizzing" portion of today, they really seemed to get it. God was really working in the children and also in all of us as we ministered to them.

It is so hard to me to comprehend that a little more that a week ago, many of the people on this team had never even met one another. They now care for one another, share with one another, laugh and cry with one another as if we all have been friends for years and years. After supper tonight, a group of us that had very few prior connections got together and sang acapella and made, not to toot my own horn but, fabulous music. This group probably would have never been lumped together otherwise, but God has a sense of humor and brought us together for something great.

I'm excited to see what the last 7 days of our time here will bring. Please continue to pray for our safety as we travel to Kiwoko tomorrow and Safari on Monday and Tuesday and also for our health. More updates are being posted daily at www.augustinuganda.blogspot.com so feel free to check it out.

We are Here!
All 14 of us arrived safely to Uganda last Friday, along with all 42 of our bags that we checked. Our connections went smoothly and the journey wasn't quite as painful as I remembered.

We we traveled closer and closer to Uganda throughout those traveling days, the feelings of nervousness that I had last year were replaced with feelings of absolute excitement! It has been so good to be back in this place and I have to keep reminding myself that I AM here! It feels so surreal; almost as if I had never left.

My morning break is almost over, so I better wrap this up. You can check out http://www.augustinuganda.blogspot.com for another update on our team. Please continue to pray for us over the course of these 2 weeks.

Heading Back!!
Today marks the day that I have been waiting for for many months and it is finally here! I'm heading back to the people and the country where I left my heart over a year ago.

7:20pm today, me and 13 others will be taking the journey that we have been planning for and anticipating for the past 8 months or so.

I was wanting to write more before I go, but I'm leaving Fargo within the hour and need to be going. Please pray for us as we travel and serve over in Uganda.
